Multi-jet fusion is an additive manufacturing process that is invented and manufactured bY Hewlett-Packard (HP). The produced end parts with this technique come with more accurate features, mechanical qualities, and enhanced surface finish in comparison to the SLS 3d printing.
What is Multi Jet Fusion?
Multi-get fusion 3d-printing technology is a powdered-based 3d printing technology that works without the help of a laser. It is more popular than any other 3d printing service because the production time in this process is theoretically 10x less than SLS or FDM technologies.
How does it work?
HP Multijet fusion 3d printing works by fusing heating agents and detailing agents that work on the nylon powder bed and melts the material to give it the shape. It uses special inkjet arrays to perform the task. As heating lamps pass over the powder bed, the better materials catch the heat and distribute it evenly. Once a layer is done, the second layer is laid until the building process is complete. At the end of the production, the build-box is detached from the printer and extracted by an operator by removing the extra powders by brushes and air blowers.
Benefits of MJF 3d printing
As the process uses fine-grained materials for its production, it gives the perfect finish and flexibility to the end parts. It is more flexible than SLS raisin parts and more detailed than FDM printed parts.
Not only that, it has a good surface finish just after removing it from the printer. It reduces the post-production cost and time. Thus the materials produced are ideal for low-scale manufacturing or prototyping. The low unit cost also makes it ideal for small businesses.
The material waste is minimal then decreases its production cost. The process is ideal for both new designers as well as experienced ones. The customizing capacity makes it most useful.
A wide range of uniform parts can be made with a single machine that lessens the lead time and cost.
Facfox, with its experienced professionals, is ready to produce end parts faster and in a reasonable price range with HP Multi Jet Fusion 3D printing technology. We are presently operating with black nylon PA12 material, but we are coming with full-colour plastics and material options very soon.
The process is also not as fast as plastic moulding techniques but provides you with more detailed and durable end products. You can also avail of our online MJF 3d printing services remotely and get your end parts ready within a few days from our professionals.
